CONCEPT 01.

Identity
This concept positions images of Truman in the space between TRU and STORY to symbolize the central role Truman played in history. These images aid in presenting the characteristics of Truman. The two words coming apart to make room for imagery and type also reflect the idea of discovery, relating to the overall experience of the Truman Library.

Language
This concept uses concise, single words that relate to the museum and discovery. This clear, to-the-point language is also a nod to the honest and direct nature that Truman was known for.

CONCEPT 02.

Identity
This concept integrates the words TRU and Stories with cut-out elements that allow images of Truman to emerge and extend beyond their confines. By layering vibrant colors, historical photography, and bold typography, the design vividly illustrates Truman’s dynamic history, aiming to captivate viewers and make Truman’s legacy feel immediate and alive. These elements work together to convey the idea that Truman's history comes alive at the Truman Library.

Language
This concept’s language uses straightforward calls to action to promote interest in Truman’s story and the library. These phrases tie into the notion that history is dynamic and full of engaging moments in which one can immerse oneself.

CONCEPT 03.

Identity
This concept expands on the cinematic approach that the TRU Stories campaign currently utilizes. It adapts into something new through the application of a lighter color palette and mood, drawing inspiration from documentaries and film title cards. Images of Truman, excerpts of his letters, and his signature tie in the cinematic/archival concept, as well as the experience found in the museum itself.

Language
The language in this concept extends from the existing TRU Storie campaign language, by using strong and direct call to action phrases to engage the viewer. The language promotes a sense of discovery and pushes the current language being used by the current campaign.
